An industry leading Anti-Microbial “Open Flow Core”whereby the filter retains structural strength, yet liquid will easily flow through the filter core. The amplified flow can increase particle removal, generate faster turnover of the water in a pool or spa and lower overall energy usage compared against competing products. Many manufacturers use punched-hole PVC cores, which have far fewer openings, which can cause the filter media to clog up with debris around these holes. When even partially clogged, a punched PVC filter requires more energy to push an equivalent volume of liquid through a smaller number of holes in their cores. In the end, filters with punched PVC cores could lower the efficiency of the filtration system and decrease the amount of particles removed from the pool or spa water. A filter which clogs easily may also raise energy costs.
